Ultraviolette has unveiled its 100-volt VX-100 platform and confirmed four new models within a year, including the Tesseract scooter.
Ultraviolette Automotive has unveiled VX-100, a new 100-volt vehicle platform, and confirmed that four products built on it will arrive within the next twelve months. The first is the X-47 Venom electric motorcycle launched this week, but the more consequential news is what comes after it. The Bengaluru company plans to extend VX-100 into scooters and more motorcycles, which would take it well beyond the premium niche it has occupied since the F77.
The company says VX-100 is certified for India and 20 European countries and has been developed and made in India for global markets. That dual certification matters, because it means the same architecture can be sold at home and exported without redesigning the core. Ultraviolette will show the platform in Europe at EICMA in Milan on 3 November.

The most interesting of the upcoming models is the Tesseract, which Ultraviolette describes as India's first scooter with a 100-volt architecture. It is open for pre-booking from ₹1.45 lakh, with final variants and specifications to be revealed in the first quarter of 2027 and deliveries to follow. A second model, the Shockwave motorcycle, is listed for pre-booking from ₹1.75 lakh, and a new F77 is also planned.
| Model | Type | Pre-booking price | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| X-47 Venom | Electric motorcycle | From ₹2.65 lakh | Launched, deliveries November 2026 |
| Tesseract | Electric scooter | From ₹1.45 lakh | Pre-bookings open, specs in Q1 2027 |
| Shockwave | Electric motorcycle | From ₹1.75 lakh | Pre-bookings open |
| New F77 | Electric motorcycle | To be announced | Planned within 12 months |
A 100-volt system lets a maker push more power through thinner cables, cut weight and support faster charging, which is exactly what a high-performance electric two-wheeler needs. It also raises the bar on charging infrastructure, since the fastest charge rates depend on chargers that are still rare outside major cities.

If Ultraviolette can deliver a 100-volt scooter at ₹1.45 lakh, it will be the first real premium alternative to Ola and Ather, and the platform's export certification suggests the company is serious about scale rather than one-off flagship models. The risk is the same one every premium EV startup faces in India: a thin service network and charging that cannot yet match the hardware.
