Greaves' Ampere has launched the Nexus EX+ electric scooter from ₹1,29,999 with a 5kW motor, 136km range and an optional IoT connectivity suite.
Greaves Electric Mobility's Ampere brand has launched the Nexus EX+, an updated version of its electric scooter, priced from ₹1,29,999 ex-showroom. A second variant with Ampere's Intellipack connectivity suite is listed at ₹1,35,999. The scooter will be sold through Ampere dealerships across India in two colours, Carbon Knight and Steel Grey.
The headline mechanical change is a new 5kW mid-mounted motor, up from the previous setup, which Ampere says produces 202Nm of peak torque at the wheel and enables a 0-40kph sprint in 4.5 seconds. The company is pitching the extra output at riders who deal with flyovers, steep climbs and pillion or load-carrying duties.

The Nexus EX+ uses a 3kWh LFP battery pack, a chemistry Ampere says is designed for long life, quoting a 2,00,000km battery life and backing it with a five-year or 75,000km warranty. Charging is handled by a new IP65-rated water-resistant charger that takes about three hours and 10 minutes to go from zero to 80 per cent. The scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with 170mm of ground clearance and a 765mm seat height.
The Intellipack version adds more than 30 connected features through the Ampere Connect app, including real-time charging status, live tracking, geo-fencing, Find My Scooter, turn-by-turn navigation, remote diagnostics, trip reports, battery health score and service booking. Four ride modes, a 6.2-inch instrument cluster and all-LED lighting round off the package.
At ₹1.30 lakh, the Nexus EX+ sits in the busy ₹1.2-1.5 lakh electric scooter band, where range, battery warranty and service reach matter more than a single spec. The 136km claim is useful for daily commuting, and the LFP chemistry and long warranty address the longevity worry that holds many buyers back.
