Bajaj has updated the Pulsar NS200 at ₹1,60,374, adding a 5-inch TFT display, traction control, ride modes and a bump to 25.5 PS.
Bajaj Auto has launched an updated Pulsar NS200 at ₹1,60,374 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the headline is electronics rather than engine capacity. The motorcycle keeps its 199.5cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled single, but now runs an electronic throttle-by-wire system that unlocks ride modes and traction control. Peak power rises modestly from 24.5 PS to 25.5 PS, with torque at 18.7 Nm.
The update is Bajaj's latest move in a rolling refresh of the Pulsar family, which this year marks 25 years in the Indian market. The NS200 now gets a 5-inch TFT instrument console with Google Maps mirroring, replacing the earlier semi-digital unit, along with a bi-directional quickshifter that Bajaj calls the Sports Shifter.

On the chassis side, the front suspension grows from a 33 mm to a 37 mm upside-down fork, and the rear gets a radial tyre. The perimeter frame, box-section swingarm and preload-adjustable monoshock carry over unchanged. Adjustable levers, a USB Type-C port, a hazard switch and a panic brake alert that flashes the indicators under hard braking round out the changes.
| Specification | Updated Pulsar NS200 |
|---|---|
| Engine | 199.5cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled single |
| Power | 25.5 PS |
| Torque | 18.7 Nm |
| Gearbox | Six-speed with bi-directional quickshifter |
| Front suspension | 37 mm upside-down fork |
| Price (ex-showroom, Delhi) | ₹1,60,374 |
That price is about ₹11,000 higher than the older USD fork variant, which listed at roughly ₹1.49 lakh. Three colours are offered: Ebony Black Racing Red, Pearl Metallic White and a new Nardo Grey.
The update lands as the Pulsar brand completes 25 years in India. Bajaj has spent the past year rolling the same electronics package across the family, starting with the N160 and now the NS200, and the pattern suggests the NS400Z and the rest of the range will follow. For Bajaj, the strategy is clear: rather than chase outright displacement, it is making its existing engines feel more modern and safer to ride, which matters to the twenty-something buyer this bike is aimed at.

Deliveries are expected to begin shortly, though Bajaj has not announced an official date. The NS200 slots into a Pulsar range that now spans the NS125, NS160, NS200 and NS400Z, and it remains the model most buyers associate with the brand's performance image.

The NS200's main rival, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, starts at around ₹1.48 lakh, so Bajaj is now asking a premium of roughly ₹12,000. In return you get a TFT console, traction control and a quickshifter, which the Apache does not fully match at that price. If you want a fast, simple 200cc naked for daily use and the occasional weekend ride, the electronics are worth having.
