BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition Launched at ₹50.60 Lakh — 150 Units, Tan Cabin Only

By AUTOASTRA Editorial · 14 Oct 2026 · Electric

BYD has launched the Sealion 7 Festive Edition at ₹50.60 lakh ex-showroom, a 150-unit run of the Premium trim that adds a tan-and-black cabin for the festive season.

BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition Launched at ₹50.60 Lakh

BYD India has added a limited festive edition to its Sealion 7 line-up, priced at ₹50.60 lakh ex-showroom. The Festive Edition is built on the Premium trim and capped at just 150 units for the country, giving buyers a rare-spec version of what is already one of the longest-range electric SUVs sold in India.

Mechanically, nothing changes. You still get the 82.56 kWh Blade Battery, a rear motor producing 230 kW (about 313 PS) and 380 Nm, a claimed 567 km on the NEDC cycle and a 0 to 100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds. The exterior is untouched.

What Changes on the Festive Edition

The one visible change is a tan-and-black interior theme, replacing the standard black-and-grey cabin. That is it. The Festive Edition costs ₹70,000 more than the regular Premium, which retails at ₹49.90 lakh, a premium of roughly 1.4 percent for a cabin colour and the knowledge that only 150 will be built.

Why This Matters for Buyers

This is a different play from BYD's own First Anniversary Edition earlier in the year, which kept prices level and bundled a free 11 kW home charger and an extended low-voltage battery warranty. The Festive Edition instead charges more and, so far, has not confirmed the same benefits, so buyers should ask the dealer directly what is included.

The Sealion 7 now spans about ₹14 lakh from the Dynamic to the Performance, and BYD is widening one model rather than launching a new one. If you were already set on the Premium and you like the tan cabin, the ₹70,000 ask is small in crore-scale terms. If you want maximum hardware per rupee, the standard Premium or the Dynamic remains the sharper buy. Special-edition cabins are clearly the season's theme — MG's Windsor Indulge Edition is doing the same thing at a lower price.
