JLR India Expands in Delhi-NCR, Opens Gurugram Showroom — Network Now 33 Outlets

By AUTOASTRA Editorial · 19 Oct 2026 · News

Jaguar Land Rover India has relocated its Delhi dealership and opened a Gurugram outlet, taking its retail network to 33 outlets across 26 cities.

JLR Deepens Its Bet on Delhi-NCR

Jaguar Land Rover India is expanding its retail presence in the National Capital Region, relocating its Delhi dealership to a larger integrated facility on Mathura Road in South Delhi and opening a new sales outlet in Gurugram. Both are run with partner AMP Motors. With the additions, JLR's India network now extends to 33 outlets across 26 cities.

Managing director Rajan Amba called the NCR an important market for the Tata Group-owned automaker, saying the new integrated facility reflects a focus on retail and after-sales service in key growth centres. For a luxury brand, that service depth matters: buyers at this end of the market weigh dealership proximity and workshop quality almost as heavily as the car itself.

The Numbers Behind the Push

JLR India retailed 1,665 vehicles in the June quarter, an 11 percent rise over the same period a year earlier, while wholesale dispatches rose 4 percent to 1,694 units. The Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender together accounted for more than 85 percent of sales, underlining how much the brand's Indian business depends on its most expensive models.

The company sold 6,183 units in India in the previous financial year, and management has targeted 20 to 25 percent growth for FY27, backed by an order backlog and plans to add around 11 new outlets during the year.

What Comes Next

The bigger story for JLR India is electrification. The company is preparing to launch the Range Rover Electric by April 2027, its first fully electric model here, as it looks to defend its position against Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi. Retail expansion ahead of that launch is no coincidence: a new powertrain needs a network that can sell and service it.

The expansion also reflects a broader truth about luxury retail in India: buyers in smaller cities are no longer willing to travel to a metro for a service visit. JLR's plan to add around 11 new outlets in FY27 is aimed squarely at those emerging high-net-worth centres, not just the big three cities.

For a buyer, more outlets in the NCR means shorter service queues and easier access to test drives. If you are weighing a luxury SUV, our brands hub and comparison tool are useful starting points, and the insurance guide can help you budget the running costs.
