Kia India is expected to raise prices of select models like the Seltos, Sonet and Syros from October 2026. Current prices and why booking now saves money.
Kia India is expected to increase prices of select models and variants from October 2026, according to fresh industry reports. The revision is understood to be selective rather than a flat increase across the range — individual variants of the Sonet, Seltos, Syros and Carens Clavis could become costlier while other trims stay unchanged. Kia is yet to officially confirm the affected models or the quantum of the increase.
If it goes through, this would be Kia's second price revision of 2026, after an increase of up to 2 percent across the range from 1 July 2026 that the company attributed to rising input costs and higher operational expenses. It would also land mid-festival-season, mirroring an industry-wide pattern: Maruti Suzuki has already pushed through three hikes since May worth as much as ₹80,000 cumulatively, while Tata Motors raised prices by up to ₹25,000 and Hyundai by up to 1 percent from 1 September 2026.
| Kia Model | Current Price (Ex-Showroom) |
| Sonet | ₹7.41 - 14.47 lakh |
| Syros | ₹8.42 - 15.82 lakh |
| Seltos | ₹11.00 - 22.02 lakh |
| Syros EV | ₹13.50 - 20.00 lakh |
| Carens Clavis | ₹11.39 - 21.79 lakh |
| Carens Clavis EV | ₹18.04 - 25.00 lakh |
| Sorento | ₹27.99 - 40.39 lakh |
Kia enters this revision from a position of strength. The carmaker recorded 29,042 domestic sales in August 2026, overtaking Toyota to become India's fifth-largest passenger vehicle brand for the month, with the new-generation Seltos alone averaging more than 10,000 units a month.
What this means for you: if you have shortlisted a Kia, September is the safer month to lock your booking — confirm the exact on-road price and delivery date in writing so the October revision, if applied, does not land on your invoice. Festive discounts and exchange bonuses can offset part of any hike, so negotiate the full on-road package rather than the ex-showroom figure alone.
