Kia's Syros EV starts at ₹13.49 lakh, is the first sub-4m electric SUV to cross 500km of range, and now carries October benefits of up to ₹20,000.
Kia's second made-in-India mass-market electric vehicle, the Syros EV, has quickly become the benchmark in the compact electric SUV space. Priced from ₹13.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 42kWh version and ₹16.99 lakh for the 51.4kWh Extended Range variant, it is the first sub-four-metre electric SUV in India to cross the 500km range mark, with an ARAI-certified 526km on the larger pack and 443km on the smaller one. Both use liquid-cooled NMC cells certified to IP67.
Built on Kia's reinforced K1 platform, the Syros EV delivers 171 PS and a 0-100kph time of 8.1 seconds on the 51.4kWh pack. It supports 100kW DC fast charging, taking the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in a claimed 39 minutes, along with a 10.8kW onboard AC charger. Kia also offers Battery-as-a-Service, which drops the entry price to ₹7.99 lakh with a battery rental of about ₹3.3 per kilometre, plus a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty and an assured buyback of up to 80 per cent after three years.

Inside, a 30-inch Trinity panoramic display combines the instrument cluster, touchscreen and climate panel. The list includes Kia Connect 2.0 with over 95 features, an eight-speaker Harman Kardon system, ventilated front and rear seats, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a 16-litre frunk and a 100W front USB-C charger. Safety runs to Level 2 ADAS with 16 functions and six airbags. Kia's K-Charge ecosystem aggregates over 20,300 charging points across 23 operators, and 129 dealerships are equipped with DC fast chargers, backed by 275-plus EV-ready workshops.
With Tata's Nexon EV and MG's Windsor EV as its closest rivals, the Syros EV's pitch is range and an ownership package that attacks resale-value and battery worries head-on. If you drive mostly in the city and can charge at home, the BaaS route makes the entry point genuinely low, though the per-kilometre battery rent adds up over a long ownership term, so run the numbers for your annual mileage before choosing it. Kia is also offering up to ₹20,000 in benefits on the Syros EV this October.
