Maruti Suzuki's Brezza has crossed 15 lakh cumulative sales in India, while the newly facelifted model has already collected more than one lakh bookings since its July 2026 launch.
Maruti Suzuki's Brezza has crossed 15 lakh cumulative sales in India, a landmark for a compact SUV that the company describes as the first model fully developed in-house by its Indian engineers. The milestone arrives on the back of a strong festive-season run: the facelifted Brezza, launched in July 2026, has already gathered more than one lakh bookings.

The Brezza's journey started with a diesel engine before moving to Maruti's K15 petrol powertrain, and the nameplate now anchors one of the country's most crowded and competitive segments. Maruti says 56 percent of Brezza buyers consider the model even before they begin their purchase journey, a strong signal of brand pull in a class where cross-shopping is routine. That loyalty has helped Maruti hold its ground against newer, flashier rivals entering the segment every year.
The current Brezza is priced from ₹7.50 lakh to ₹13.70 lakh (ex-showroom). It offers two engine choices and a factory CNG option with an underbody tank that preserves boot space.
| Powertrain | Fuel | Transmission | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.0L BoosterJet turbo-petrol | Petrol | 6-speed MT / 6-speed AT | Punchier of the two engines |
| 1.5L naturally aspirated | Petrol | 6-speed MT / 6-speed AT | Volume engine |
| 1.5L naturally aspirated | CNG | 6-speed MT | Underbody tank, more boot space |

The Brezza takes on the Skoda Kylaq, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger in the sub-four-metre SUV space. Maruti's edge has always been the service network, resale value and fuel efficiency, and the facelift sharpened the design and feature list to close gaps with rivals on technology. Its combination of a turbo-petrol option and a CNG variant that keeps usable boot space is a genuine differentiator for value-focused buyers.

If you are shopping for a sub-4m SUV this festive season, the Brezza remains the safe, low-risk pick: the widest service network, strong resale and now a fresher feature set. The trade-off is that you pay a small premium for the Maruti badge versus some rivals. If mileage matters most, the CNG variant's running cost is hard to beat; if you want driving punch, the BoosterJet is the one to test.
