MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition Launched at ₹18 Lakh — Tan Cabin and a Rear Screen for the Festive Run

By AUTOASTRA Editorial · 14 Oct 2026 · Electric

MG has launched the Windsor EV Indulge Edition at ₹18 lakh ex-showroom, a limited festive run for the 38 kWh version with a tan cabin and a rear entertainment screen.

MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition Launched at ₹18 Lakh

JSW MG Motor India has rolled out a limited festive edition of its best-selling electric car, the Windsor EV, at ₹18 lakh ex-showroom. The Indulge Edition marks two years since the Windsor went on sale and is aimed squarely at buyers who use the rear seat more than the driver's chair.

There is no new hardware under the skin. The Indulge is based on the 38 kWh version of the Windsor, which means the familiar 134 bhp and 200 Nm front-wheel-drive setup, a claimed range of 332 km and charging at 7.4 kW on AC and 45 kW on DC. What changes is the cabin, the colour palette and the accessories.

What the Indulge Edition Adds

The headline change is a new Urban Tan and Black upholstery theme, paired with black alloy wheels and a fresh Shadow Gold exterior shade. MG has also added 'Indulge' badging on the C-pillar, neck pillows for the second row, and a rear entertainment screen it calls the Prive Screen. The Windsor's party trick, a 135-degree rear-seat recline, and the 15.6-inch front screen carry over unchanged.

An Edition Accessory Package bundles a rear sunshade, themed floor mats, chrome grille accents, bumper corner protectors, body-side moulding and a leather key cover. None of it alters the driving experience, but it does lift the cabin's perceived quality.

Why This Matters for Buyers

The Windsor has become the benchmark for value in India's electric car market, helped by its aggressive pricing and the Battery-as-a-Service option that lowers the upfront cost. The Indulge Edition sits well above the standard 38 kWh car, so buyers are paying a clear premium for exclusivity and rear-seat comfort rather than more range.

If range is your priority, the larger-battery Pro remains the logical pick. If you drive mainly in the city and often carry family in the back, the tan cabin and the rear screen make a stronger case than they first appear. Either way, this is a showroom differentiator timed for the festive season, not a new model.
