Porsche Cayenne Electric launched in India at ₹1.77 crore with the 1,156hp Turbo Electric at ₹2.27 crore; deliveries began on 30/09/2026 in Mumbai.
Porsche India has launched the Cayenne Electric, its new flagship electric SUV, at an event in Mumbai, with customer deliveries beginning the same day, 30/09/2026. Two variants are on offer: the Cayenne Electric at ₹1.77 crore and the range-topping Cayenne Turbo Electric at ₹2.27 crore, both ex-showroom and before options. The electric Cayenne becomes the third all-electric Porsche on sale in India, after the Taycan and the Macan Electric.
Both variants use the Volkswagen Group's 800-volt Premium Platform Electric architecture with a 113kWh battery and dual-motor all-wheel drive. The standard car makes 408hp and 750Nm, rising to 442hp and 835Nm with Launch Control, enough for 0-100kph in 4.8 seconds. The Turbo Electric is in another league: up to 1,156hp and 1,500Nm on Launch Control, dispatching 0-100kph in 2.5 seconds. Ashutosh Dixit, Head of Porsche India, said the Cayenne enters an important new era with electrification.
| Specification | Cayenne Electric | Cayenne Turbo Electric |
| Price (ex-showroom) | ₹1.77 crore | ₹2.27 crore |
| Peak output with Launch Control | 442hp / 835Nm | 1,156hp / 1,500Nm |
| 0-100kph | 4.8 seconds | 2.5 seconds |
| Top speed | 230kph | 260kph |
| Claimed WLTP range | 642km | 623km |
| Battery | 113kWh | 113kWh |
Charging hardware matches the price tag. The 800-volt system supports DC fast charging at up to 390kW, taking the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 16 minutes, while a 10-minute stop adds up to roughly 320km of range. AC charging tops out at 22kW, and the Cayenne Electric is the first Porsche in India to offer an optional 11kW wireless inductive charging system. Practicality is preserved with a 90-litre frunk and 781 litres of boot space.
Inside, the cabin centres on a 14.5-inch curved OLED touchscreen with a 14.25-inch digital driver display and an optional 14.9-inch passenger screen. Adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management is standard. The electric SUV competes with the BMW iX, Audi Q8 e-tron and Lotus Eletre, and Porsche has confirmed that petrol-powered Cayennes will continue to be sold in India into the next decade.
If you are shopping above ₹1.5 crore, the question is no longer whether an electric SUV is viable but which one matches your driving style. The standard Cayenne Electric's 642km claimed range and 4.8-second sprint make it the sensible pick of the two, while the Turbo exists purely because physics is fun to override. Factor in the long options list, since customisation can stretch the bill well past the sticker price.
