Tata Aeris launched at ₹ 5.29 lakh: five variants, petrol and iCNG powertrains, CNG-AMT combo, six airbags standard and deliveries from 11 October 2026.
Tata Motors has launched the Aeris, the compact sedan that replaces the Tigor in its showroom line-up, at an introductory price of ₹ 5.29 lakh ex-showroom. The Aeris is aimed squarely at private buyers, while the Tigor Express continues for fleet operators. Deliveries begin on 11 October, the first day of Navratri, which puts it right at the front of the festive queue against the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze.
| Variant | Petrol MT | Petrol AMT | CNG MT | CNG AMT |
| Smart | ₹ 5.29 lakh | Not offered | ₹ 6.29 lakh | Not offered |
| Pure | ₹ 6.14 lakh | ₹ 6.69 lakh | ₹ 7.14 lakh | ₹ 7.69 lakh |
| Pure+ | ₹ 6.74 lakh | ₹ 7.29 lakh | ₹ 7.74 lakh | ₹ 8.29 lakh |
| Creative | ₹ 7.49 lakh | ₹ 8.04 lakh | ₹ 8.49 lakh | ₹ 9.04 lakh |
| Accomplished | ₹ 8.19 lakh | ₹ 8.74 lakh | ₹ 9.19 lakh | ₹ 9.74 lakh |
The headline powertrain is the familiar 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol producing 86 bhp and 113 Nm, and 75 bhp with 96.5 Nm in CNG mode. What makes the Aeris stand out in this segment is the CNG-AMT combination on the Pure variant upwards: twin cylinders preserve usable boot space, and dual-pedal convenience meets CNG running costs for the first time at this price. Features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen with a fully digital cluster, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, a 65W USB-C charger and six airbags as standard across every variant, along with blind-spot monitoring and rollover mitigation.
Six paint shades are on offer, with a dual-tone option reserved for the top Accomplished trim. Buyers who want a CNG automatic family car under ₹ 10 lakh finally have a factory-backed option with a proper safety kit. The introductory prices hold for the launch window, and waiting periods for the higher trims are likely as festive bookings build, so an early booking protects both the price and the delivery date.
Will the Aeris compete with Maruti or it will be same as Tigor ?
