Tata Sierra Legend series launched at ₹11.99-19.49 lakh ex-showroom with 5 feature-loaded variants, panoramic sunroof, 360 camera and 6 airbags.

Tata Sierra Legend Series Launched Ahead of the Festive Rush

Tata Motors has launched the Sierra Legend series in India with prices from ₹11.99 lakh to ₹19.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The Legend is a feature-led five-variant range that sits alongside the standard Sierra line-up rather than replacing it, adding 18 new versions to take the petrol-and-diesel Sierra to 42 variants in total, with the Sierra EV continuing as a separate 16-variant range. The entry Smart+ L commands a ₹50,000 premium over the regular Smart+ trim, which retails at ₹11.49 lakh.

Here is the complete ex-showroom price list for the new series.

What Each Tata Sierra Legend Variant Gets

Even the base Smart+ L arrives with leatherette upholstery, steering-mounted controls, auto-folding ORVMs, passive entry and passive start, Bi-LED projector headlamps, six airbags, an electronic parking brake and ESP with more than 20 functions. The Pure L steps up to the 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity, a reverse camera, cruise control, drive modes and TPMS.

The Pure L(O) adds the Panoramax voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. The Pure+ L focuses on comfort with ventilated front seats, a six-way powered driver seat with thigh-support extension, boss mode, dual-zone automatic climate control and 65W USB-C fast chargers. The Adventure+ L tops the range with a 360-degree 4Sight surround camera, Superglide suspension with frequency-dependent damping, terrain modes, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit and blind-spot monitoring.

Engines and Gearboxes Carry Over Unchanged

Mechanically, the Legend series is identical to the standard Sierra. The 1.5-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol makes 105bhp and 145Nm, the 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel delivers 116bhp and 260Nm, and the 1.5-litre Hyperion TGDi turbo petrol produces 158bhp and 255Nm, paired with a 7-speed DCT that is exclusive to the Adventure+ L. Tata has also added the Revotron petrol automatic option to the regular Adventure+ variant of the standard range. Six colours are on offer: Pristine White, Pure Grey, Coorg Clouds, Munnar Mist, Bengal Rouge and Andaman Adventure.

Why Tata Is Blinging Out the Sierra Now

The timing tells the real story. Sierra sales peaked at 9,003 units in March 2026 and have fallen for five straight months to 5,622 units in August. After July's Jubilee Edition, the Legend is the second special series in two months, and the playbook is straight out of the Nexon's book: keep the showroom fresh with feature-led variants instead of waiting for a full facelift.

What This Means for You

If you are shopping in the ₹12-20 lakh SUV segment, the Legend trims bundle the features buyers actually pay extra for, sunroof, ventilated seats, cameras and six airbags, into clearly defined price steps. The ₹50,000 premium over the equivalent standard variants buys real equipment rather than just a badge, so the Legend is worth shortlisting if you want a well-loaded SUV this festive season. Compare final on-road prices against the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara before booking, because October price hikes across the industry could make this the value window of the year.
