VinFast has signed letters of intent with more than 50 e-motorcycle dealers across 34 cities, its first dedicated two-wheeler network in India, with models due in late 2026.
VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle maker that already sells cars in India, has taken its first formal step into the country's two-wheeler market. The company signed letters of intent with more than 50 e-motorcycle dealer partners, covering 50-plus planned showrooms across 34 cities in 15 states and union territories. The signing ceremony was held at VinFast's manufacturing complex in Hai Phong, Vietnam, during a visit by the Indian dealer partners.
The planned network spreads across Delhi NCR, Rajasthan and Punjab in the north; Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh in central India; Maharashtra and Gujarat in the west; Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh in the south; and West Bengal and Odisha in the east.

| Planned showrooms | 50-plus, across 34 cities in 15 states and UTs |

The logic is simple arithmetic. India is the world's largest two-wheeler market, with 21.41 million two-wheelers registered in the 2025-26 financial year, yet electric vehicles accounted for only 6.54% of them. VinFast sees that gap as room to grow, and it is building charging infrastructure and after-sales support alongside the retail push.
Company executives framed the move as a long-term bet. Vo Thi Cam Tu, Managing Director of VinFast E-Scooters Overseas Market, said India is one of the most important markets in VinFast's global growth story. Anurag Saxena, CEO of VinFast India E-Scooters, called the partnership with the dealers the beginning of the company's nationwide e-motorcycle journey.
Nothing is on sale yet. VinFast has not published a model line-up, city-wise showroom list or any India pricing for its e-motorcycles, and letters of intent are preliminary rather than signed dealership contracts. If you are interested, wait for an official launch announcement and be wary of anyone collecting booking money for a VinFast two-wheeler before the company confirms one.
