MotoHaus has entered India's electric two-wheeler market with the VLF Strada, launched on 11 October with an ex-showroom starting price of ₹1,19,999. The scooter is offered in two variants, and the gap between them is the whole story: one prioritises upfront cost, the other prioritises range. For a buyer weighing an e-scooter against a petrol 125cc, that choice matters more than any single spec sheet number.
The City variant is listed at ₹1,19,999 and uses a single removable 2.16 kWh battery, with a claimed IDC range of 130 km. The Max variant is priced at ₹1,55,500 and runs two of those packs for a total of 4.32 kWh, pushing the claimed IDC range to 250 km. Both versions are listed with an 85 km/h claimed top speed and disc brakes with Combined Braking System, and both use removable batteries, which means owners without home charging can carry the pack indoors.
| Variant | Ex-showroom price | Battery setup | Claimed IDC range |
|---|---|---|---|
| VLF Strada City | ₹1,19,999 | One removable 2.16 kWh pack | 130 km |
| VLF Strada Max | ₹1,55,500 | Two removable packs, 4.32 kWh total | 250 km |
MotoHaus lists charging times of roughly three hours for the single-battery setup and about six hours for the dual-battery version. Independent launch coverage reported that bookings opened through the MotoHaus website and that deliveries are expected from November 2026, though the manufacturer's product page does not state an exact handover date, so that timing should be treated as reported rather than confirmed.
Where the Strada fits is straightforward. It undercuts several established premium e-scooters on price while claiming more range than most of them, but the brand is new, so the real questions are dealer and service reach and how the claimed range holds up in traffic. Buyers comparing it against the established players should test a demo unit in their own riding conditions and confirm warranty terms and service locations before booking. For an at-a-glance running-cost estimate, use the EV running-cost calculator.
It is also entering a crowded field. Established electric two-wheeler makers now retail well over two lakh units a month between them, so a new badge has to earn trust quickly. The VLF Strada's strongest cards are its price-to-range ratio and its removable batteries, which suit riders in buildings without dedicated charging. Its weakest is the unknown: a new brand's long-term parts support and resale value cannot yet be judged, and that is a real cost a spec sheet will not show.
